Upon request from Astana-TV channel, DNK-TV company designed and delivered a DSNG (Digital Satellite News Gathering) mobile satellite station to ensure high-quality broadcasting from various events. The DSNG station is built on the chassis of a Mercedes Sprinter 316CDI and can be used as an OB (Outside Broadcasting) van without camera channels.

The system is based on state-of-the-art broadcasting and satellite communication technologies. Signal reception and transmission are carried out using Vislink satellite equipment, and the backup system relies on Miranda solutions.

For internal communication with the staff of the main OB van, Riedel intercom equipment is installed. Program formation is performed using the Panasonic AV-HS410 mixer.

In 2010, DNK-TV company executed a project for the technical equipping of the Tengri FM radio broadcasting complex.

Tengri FM radio station is part of the Alash Media Group media holding and is the largest radio station in the Central Asia region specializing in rock music.

The broadcasting coverage in the Republic of Kazakhstan spans 18 regional centers, including all major highways and resort areas.

The radio station's broadcasting grid consists entirely of in-house produced content.

The schedule includes live coverage from events, emergency news releases, authorial programs, and much more. Broadcasting is carried out 24/7/365. The entire program preparation process is automated, thanks to the use of Synadyn software.

The radio station's hardware and studio complex consist of a central hardware unit, a studio hardware block, editing hardware, an air planning center, a news reception and preparation unit, as well as office and administrative premises.

The hardware-studio block includes a broadcasting studio, a speech studio, and an audio recording studio. The broadcasting studio features equipped workstations for four individuals - a host, a sound engineer, and invited guests or co-hosts. The workstations are equipped with special D&R SiCo Remote MKIII units for microphone and headphone volume control. This system is integrated with the D&R Airlab audio mixer.

The second mixer panel, D&R Airlab, is located in the audio recording studio and, alongside basic functions such as recording and mixing, serves as a backup for the broadcasting studio.

The speech studio comprises five workstations and is used for live broadcasts as well as audio content recording. At the time of launch, the speech studio was the only one in Kazakhstan capable of quickly changing configurations for recording or broadcasting concerts of invited musical groups.

Signal processing and delivery to the satellite occur in the central hardware room. Here, all studios are interconnected.

Thanks to the flexible signal routing configuration, the broadcasting and audio recording hardware can operate interchangeably. For example, they can work simultaneously with the speech studio independently of each other or even generate two different programs.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system is a unique technology in football that allows the head referee to make decisions with the assistance of video replays. In March 2022, the VAR system project for the Kazakhstan Football Federation was completed, along with intensive training for over 70 referees.

By now, the systems have been installed and tested at stadiums across the country, and the referees have practiced the necessary skills and obtained certification.

To implement the project, the DNK TV team installed FIFA-certified VAR systems with support for up to 8 cameras to equip stadiums of clubs that are members of the Professional Football League.

For easier and faster adoption of VAR technology, FIFA developed the concept of VAR Light.

DNK-TV, in partnership with Canon, successfully implemented a hybrid learning technology project at Suleyman Demirel University (SDU).

The system is built around modern Canon CR-N100 cameras, designed for educational institutions and serving as an excellent solution for enhancing video conferencing, online courses, lecture recording, and remote learning. Thanks to PTZ functionality (pan, tilt, and zoom), these cameras deliver high-quality streaming of lectures and events.

The Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone system is a revolutionary solution for audio conferencing and hybrid events. It ensures crystal-clear voice transmission from any point in the room without the need for fixed microphone placement.

In addition, the modular Sennheiser TCC M-S-W system for hybrid conferencing was deployed. This advanced solution is designed for enhanced control and integration of TeamConnect Ceiling microphones, providing superior audio quality and ease of management.

The Biamp TesiraFORTÉ DAN VT4 is a versatile audio processing solution идеально suited for educational institutions, lecture halls, and conference rooms. Powered by a high-performance processor and supporting the Dante protocol, the TesiraFORTÉ DAN VT4 delivers exceptional audio processing quality.

The DNK-TV team integrated the powerful and user-friendly Epiphan Pearl Mini media processor, designed for live streaming, recording, and real-time video mixing.

For high-quality video signal capture, the Epiphan AV.io HD+ interface is used, ensuring stable and reliable video performance.

A compact yet powerful Dell Vostro 3020 computer was also installed. Thanks to its technical specifications and performance capabilities, it is perfectly suited for use in educational institutions and efficiently handles a wide range of tasks.

To build and expand the corporate network infrastructure, a high-speed managed TP-Link SG3218XP-M2 switch was deployed. It offers advanced management and monitoring capabilities, ensuring network reliability and scalability.

The DNK-TV team successfully equipped the lecture hall with a powerful RCF MQ 100L-W sound system, significantly enhancing audio coverage and overall sound perception. As a result of this installation, the hall now benefits from powerful and clear sound, perfectly suited for educational events, lectures, and presentations.

DNK-TV has successfully completed a project for the supply and commissioning of five professional Ikegami HDK-73 studio camera systems for CHANNEL 31 — one of Kazakhstan’s leading broadcast media holdings.

The project was part of a broader initiative to modernize the channel’s television infrastructure, aimed at enhancing video production quality and ensuring stable on-air broadcasting.

The Ikegami HDK-73 is a time-tested studio camera widely used in television production around the world. It delivers high-quality Full HD imaging, HDR support, excellent low-light sensitivity, and flexibility for both in-studio and field production.

The cameras were equipped with modern Canon optics:

• Canon CJ14ex4.3B IASE – a wide-angle lens delivering exceptional image detail;
• Canon CJ18ex7.6B IASE – a versatile telephoto lens suitable for a wide range of shooting scenarios;
• Canon SS-41-IASD servo control system, providing precise control over zoom, focus, and iris.

As part of the project, DNK-TV carried out the following:

• Supply of studio cameras, lenses, and accessories;
• Commissioning and system configuration tailored to the channel’s needs;
• Training of 31 Kanal’s technical team;
• Consulting and technical support throughout all stages of implementation.

The goal of the project is to provide high-quality filming, broadcasting, and recording of events held at the university. The installed system enables professional-level video production of student concerts, academic conferences, educational lectures, and presentations

MODERNIZATION OF KAZAKHFILM FILM STUDIO

The DNK-TV team has successfully completed the comprehensive installation of a modern audio system in the conference hall of Aktobe Copper Company.

The client faced an ambitious task — to equip the offices in Aktobe and Koktau with state-of-the-art meeting spaces. The key requirements included ensuring flawless audio quality during meetings, integration with video conferencing systems (VCS), as well as creating a highly comfortable environment for participants through the use of discreet solutions and automated control.

For the implementation of the project, the innovative Shure Microflex Advance product line and Aruba network solutions were selected, both recognized as reliable tools for world-class corporate communication.

The Shure MXA710 and MXA902 ceiling microphone arrays deliver crystal-clear speech transmission, regardless of where participants are seated at the table.

Shure MXA-NMB network mute buttons add convenience and control, allowing users to manage microphones with a single touch.

The Shure P300-IMX audio processor, with support for Dante, USB, and analog connections, ensures stable routing and processing of audio signals.

The solution is easily scalable and adaptable to various meeting spaces. The discreet integration of equipment creates a modern, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for meeting participants.

The client received a state-of-the-art system that not only fully met the outlined objectives but also established a solid foundation for the further development of the company’s video conferencing infrastructure.

The DNK-TV team was tasked with designing and implementing a high-tech video wall system based on professional UNILUMIN ULWIII LED panels with a 1.5 mm pixel pitch.

The project was intended for a multiformat television studio requiring precise color reproduction, high contrast, and image stability during live broadcasts.

The main objective was to create a versatile screen platform capable of adapting to various broadcast formats — news, talk shows, sports and entertainment programs, as well as hybrid AR/VR scenarios.

Technical and Engineering Objectives of the Project

• Ensuring high pixel density (1.5 mm) to achieve maximum image clarity when shooting close-ups and using 4K/8K cameras.

• Implementing a seamless screen structure with panel alignment accuracy within X/Y/Z axes of less than 0.1 mm.

• Configuring a color calibration system in compliance with television standards Rec.709 / sRGB.

• Maintaining stable brightness and contrast (up to 800 nits, 5000:1 contrast ratio) during extended operation.

• Minimizing video signal latency through the use of professional controllers and synchronization with studio equipment via reference signal (Genlock).

• Integrating the control system with media servers and real-time graphics engines (Disguise, Unreal Engine, Pixotope).

• Engineering the supporting structure: precise panel coupling, concealed cable routing, modularity, and ease of maintenance.

• Thermal optimization — uniform heat distribution and silent operation to ensure a comfortable studio environment.

The DNK-TV team implemented a comprehensive turnkey solution — from system design and equipment selection to assembly, installation, calibration, and final image adjustment.

The resulting system became the central element of the studio environment, providing:

• flexibility for reconfiguration across various broadcast formats;

• visual purity of the frame, free from moiré and unwanted reflections;

• precise compliance with professional broadcasting standards.

As a result, a high-precision LED complex was created — combining the functions of both background and content display, fully ready for real-time operation and multi-camera television production.

DNK-TV executed the “News Studio for RTRC Atyrau” project on a turnkey basis – from concept development and technical design to equipment supply, installation, commissioning, and staff training. As part of the project, the studio complex was completely modernized, including the lighting system, audio and video equipment, and the hardware-studio unit (HSU), fully integrated into the existing broadcasting infrastructure.

Lighting Solution

A modern lighting system was designed and implemented for the news studio using LED fixtures: key, fill, and backlight, as well as accent lighting for presenters’ zones and decorative set elements. The suspension and cabling system was carefully planned to provide easy access to the fixtures and flexibility for future set reconfigurations. Lighting control is implemented through a lighting console and DMX infrastructure, allowing rapid switching of lighting scenes for various broadcast formats, including news, interviews, and special projects.

Audio Solution

The studio’s audio system is built around a digital mixing console, wireless microphone systems for presenters and guests, and monitoring systems in both the control room and the studio. Separate channels are provided for broadcast audio, communication with the control room, and backup lines. The acoustic design and audio routing were developed to ensure clear speech and stable microphone operation without feedback, even under typical television studio conditions.

Hardware-Studio Unit (HSU) Equipment and Organization

The hardware-studio unit is equipped with all necessary systems for full broadcast control: video mixer, audio mixer, synchronization and utility signal generators, an intercom system for communication between the director, camera operators, and the studio, as well as recording and broadcast monitoring systems. All equipment is housed in rack-mounted enclosures with a carefully planned cabling infrastructure, UPS, and power distribution system. The HSU is fully integrated with RTRC Atyrau’s news and broadcast automation, ensuring stable and predictable on-air operations.
